sixth graders

today for the first time in my two weeks of student teaching i got really pissed off at a couple classes. i asked for their attention quite a few times and got blatant disregard from some of them. talking to their classmates right under my nose while i'm trying to explain the assignment. these are the same kids who ten seconds later are saying, "mister! i don't get it!" or, "mister! what are we supposed to do?" so i did some red-faced yelling today. what i need to learn is how to manage things step by step so i don't save up my frustrations and explode on them. i have a lot to learn. some good tips from my mentor teacher and a night's rest and i'll be ready to go at it again tomorrow.

and yes kim, i bought my pedro ticket from waterloo the other day. it's on!
