well, after over a year and way too many "you look like Jesus," comments, i cut my hair. it's still pretty long in front but short around the back and sides. i like it. there's this place in cedar hill that does a really great job but doesn't charge an arm and a leg. thanks lucy.
last night i went with jon paul to hang out with nathan, chaney, molly, and crew... we met them at chili's and then went to chaney's to watch the movie trekkies. okay, if you enjoy christopher guest films, imagine one about star trek fanatics. only they are real people. it is absolutely and unbelievably hilarious.
i also talked to my relatives down in austin last night and it's official. i have a place to stay while i do my student teaching. it's kind of a two-room apartment (-kitchen) on the second floor of one of their houses. i think it will be really ideal.
until we meet again...

hey there sir - all the best with the teaching. sorry we missed seeing you during your week in the 'nati... it's nice keeping tabs on you at least. :)
I have experienced Trekkies, and that guy that drove that little thing down the street was unbelievable. I have not been the same since that show. A friend here in Austin has a roommate who is disturbingly similar to the Trekkies I'd seen. However, he's a Dungeons and Dragons guy. D and D, you gotta love it.

thanks for keeping tabs on me angie. becky, wasn't that greatness?! my favorite was the teenage mullet super fan. he pretty much ruled. oh yeah, and the fat guy dressed in drag. bright pink lipstick. long curly black wig. so awesome.
