i just took a "critical thinking assessment" on the iteachtexas website. they informed me that the districts want to know that i can "think critically" and am committed to the teaching practicum before they assign me a school. never mind the fact that i graduated high school and college, they've seen all my transcripts, i've paid enrollment fees, and i'm doing well on all my assignments to date. it's still possible that i may not be able to "think critically." (can you smell the sarcasm?) at any rate...it wasn't too bad. they wanted to me write a 500-word essay on what i expect to gain professionally and personally from the practicum. done. i understand it's not iteachtexas's fault. it's just annoying. so i should get a grade on that by october 15th and then they can move forward in finding me a school in austin to accept me for my teaching practicum.
in other news, i will vote in ohio. it's important to me. there are a lot of people who would lay down their lives for the opportunity to vote. i just wish all the candidates weren't liars.

if supporting "w" is a requisite for living in texas, then you can deport most of the city of austin. :]
they're pretty much both asses, i'm just trying to go with the lesser of two asses.
