old friends, pedro, and strong bad

while road-tripping in new england, completely out of the blue i ran into an old friend, sean horton (of red crown records fame and lore). he is now the curator of a cool gallery in burlington, vermont which is located in an old renovated firehouse on church st. it was surreal. i wish i could have seen melissa, who is also in vermont with him. you can check out some of their design work at the snowflake factory...i've linked it. also, look out for bosque brown...

pedro the lion has a new ep with some different versions of previously released material and three cover songs: randy newman, cat power, and radiohead. 6 songs 6 bucks.

several months ago we got two new dell computers here at the body shop. the keyboards were wrapped in this plastic that had a little "no suffocating" logo/character that looked an awful lot like strong sad. so, believing it to be a warning for strong bad not to suffocate his little brother if he ever got a new computer wrapped in plastic like ours, we sent it off to see if they would find it as amusing as we did. a couple weeks ago we got a letter from HomestarRunner.com P.O. Box 888421 Atlanta, GA 30356. it reads as follows:

Dear Center City Gang,

Thank you for your interest in Homestar Runner. We love to hear from our fans. We are sending you some freebies just to show how much we appreciate you. Have a great summer and continue to look for new things from the Homestar Runner Gang. Thank you for taking the time to write us. Strong Bad will be reminded that Strong Sad is not to be suffocated. He will just have to find some other means of mistreatment.

Sincerely,
The Homestar Gang

enclosed were strong bad stickers for everyone at the shop. we want to get the letter framed so we can proudly display it.
