hey friends...lots of interesting stuf to blog about.

1) watched the movie solaris last night here at the house. very interesting. starring george clooney, directed by steven soderburg. visually stunning. the plot raised some intriguing philosophical/mental/spiritual questions. it's definitley not a thriller, so it's not fast paced, but to me, it was worth it.

2) going to see the final matrix thursday night with a crew of housemates here.

3) went to a cool old cathedral which is now being renovated into a community/spiritual center and coffee shop/bookstore. the coolest faith-based bookstore i've ever been in. so while we were there (sharon, abby & nora, and cat) we walked down the street to urban outfitters cause sharon knows one of the managers. i ended up getting a application and bringing it back. for some crazy reason they want to interview me tomorrow. wow. unexpected. but, i've also applied to this cool market called "wild oats" and a bookstore called "joseph beth." i would rather work at these, so i'll call them tomorrow before the urban interview. i'd appreciate your prayers for wisdom and God's leading

4) our church gathering at the house was really cool tonight. it started off with dave leading in some discussion about the early church and the purpose of meeting together and then we got into talking about what tawd called "charismocracy" - or the Holy Spirit leading our time together. and what followed was just that. nothing crazy or mind boggling, but a really Spirit-led time of encouragement, teaching, edification, and worship. it was good. God is good.
