friends, texans, countrymen...

lots more happening today!

1) raked leaves in the yard between our house, the brown house, and the church building. we raked so many freaking leaves up! wow. it's not like this in texas. we raked up a pile that was as big as two cars. honestly.

2) there was a fund raiser a few months ago in whicha lot of canned goods were collected. so we got to pach them up and drive them to the foodbank this afternoon. in the process of packing them up i came across the most horrendous and freakish bug ever. it was about an inch and a half long and looked like some freakish hybrid of a spider, centipede, and a silverfish. sick. sick sick sick.

3) cat and i put together an ikea nightstand and i did a dresser all by myself! look at me now Dad! it's like legos for big people!

4) after praying and thinking about urban outfitters and talking with s few people here, i just didn't have the best feeling about it in terms of flexability, pay, and enjoyability. anyways, i ended up getting a call from kevin rains who lives in the brown house and is also the sort of head pastor of vineyard central. well he owns a car detailing shop and just opened another here in norwood. he asked if i would be interested in doing a combination of some office work and some basic shop work (washing a car here and there, that sort of thing). so i go in tomorrow! this is cool cause it will pay well and kevin will be a lot more sensitive to my situation than any other boss. so...trusting in God to take care of things = good.

5) kenny havens and i ran 2 miles before dinner. slowly, but we did it. he held up a good deal better than me.
