Busy Fellow These Days

Working on fixing up two houses. One, which Logan and I will be living in shortly and one in Waxahachie that Scott is trying to lease/sell. The Wheatland House is coming along quite nicely. Just refinished the hardwood floors last week and now we're painting the interior. Then it's linoleum for the kitchen and bathroom, carpet for on of the bedrooms and a few other things. I went to do some yardwork on the Waxahachie house today and realized I was poorly underequipped. There are weeds in that backyard as tall as myself. It's actually in pretty good shape though.

Reading way too many books to keep them all straight in my head. The most entertaining though is Life After God by Douglas Coupland, author of Generation X and Hey Nostradamus!. It's basically a collection of short stories about our generation and how many of us have grown up devoid of any sense of spirituality or religion. Really good. Maybe a quote to come on that soon...

Also I've been listening to a guy named N.T. Wright - bishop in the Anglican church, author, and Christian historian. He's opening my eyes to some really amazing stuff when it comes to my preconcieved theological/historical notions of Jesus. You can download some of his talks here.
