Lucinda Williams

...was amazing. So was Doug Pettibone, the guy that played guitar with her. This is one of the best concerts I've ever seen, thanks to my friend Camille. Sometimes the best things in life are free. Tim Easton was pretty good too. He was like young bluesy acoustic-and-harmonica Bob Dylan meets old gravelly-voiced Bob Dylan. But I have to say it again, the show was amazing. Lucinda tells great stories and is so transparent and genuine. I must get more of her records.

Today is the last day for tracking the Stellamaris EP. Lots of interesting stuff today: violin, cello, trumpet, trombone... Then tomorrow Alex, Nathan, and I head down to McAllen to mix with Charlie Vela. I'm so excited. I plan on listening to a lot of Gustavo Santaolalla, Daniel Lanois, Willie Nelson, and Lucinda Williams.
