yesterday:
waterloo records - i wander around for a long time and buy nothing. i'm broke.
whole foods - sushi, key lime soda. cute girl rings me up and tells me the sushi is great.
spider house cofee - matt, seth, molly, kim, jib, becky, kc, jay, and some other people. i drink two cups of coffee and the "waiter" (if you can call him that) get's all pissy at seth for having some taqaritos from 7-11. he complains that we haven't ordered anything from him. but we have. and he only came by our table once. when we first sat down.
burger king - i use the free whopper coupon my mom gave me. they guy takes it even though it says it's for any "metroplex location."
side bar - seth, matt, molly, kim, kc, and jay. we share a couple pitchers of lone star and listen to a decent band playing outside nextdoor at red eyed fly. kim and i talk about how deep down inside we might really enjoy dancing. even though we are both self-professed "awkward dancers." people are walking around with mardi gras beads. we do not see any breast.
pearce & seth's apt. - we watch mad max: beyond thunderdome, starring tina turner. it rules. sorta.
tonight is sigur ros. i have tried not to build it up too much in my mind. like i did with explosions in the sky. but that was at emo's, which i do not like. and there were way too many people there to enjoy it properly. that and i couldn't sit down. i've decided that shows with 3 bands wear me out. by the time the headliners starts i'm already tired of standing. 2 bands, sitting down - this is optimal.
daniel lanois' belladonna might be one of the best records ever. seriously. and i just heard it last night. i want to take this record, all of gustavo santaolalla's stuff, and out of tune by mojave 3, and drive to california through the desert.
