no direction home
i just finished watching the pbs martin scorsese documentary on bob dylan. it was great. it was really strange to see how so many people were so infuriated by him. it's like they wanted him to be a certain thing or to fit their ideal, their "protest singer" or the "spokesman for his generation" or the "folk music messiah" and he just was who he was. people want people to fit into categories, but i think most of the time it just ends up frustrating both parties.

i agree. it was a really excellent show. bob dylan is one cool cat. i really liked the old interview clips where he obviously thought everybody asking him all those stupid questions were dumbasses. he was sassy.
