half price heaven

okay so i went to half price books. there. i said it. but i found some steals...

crisis of faith, crisis of love - thomas keating - 50 cents
the god of the small things - arundhati roy - 70 cents

i was looking for the roy book at ken oster's recommendation and found it in paperback for like 5 bucks. but then i went to the clearance section and found a another paperback copy in excellent condition for one dollar. plus i had a 30% off coupon. score!

i went to the driving range with my dad, logan, and scott griffith. it was really chilly and windy but we killed a $10 bucket of golf balls together. i wasn't as bad as i expected i'd be after a year of no golf (except for disc golf).

going with the family to see the incredibles tonight at the new theater in cedar hill. weird. we have a movie theater now.

two more iteachtexas modules to go. then it's student teaching time in austin!

i'll be in cincinnati on november 30th and out with otr until december 18th. then i'll fly out of chicago to make it home in time for our family christmas cruise. that's right. the henrys are going on a cruise for christmas. we've opted for a family trip tradition instead of lots of presents. two years ago it was new york city for new years, then skiing in colorado. this year we'll be floating around somewhere in the atlantic ocean on baby Jesus' birthday. as long as there's not a really bad lounge singer doing silent night or something. should be a blast.

over and out.
