okay, let me get this right... not only can we not find "weapons of mass destruction" in iraq, but we let 380 tons of explosives disappear from under our nose? what's going on here? oh yeah...and chemical and biological weapons? they didn't seem to be a real problem during the reagan administration when iraq was killing iranians with the help of u.s. intelligence. weapons of mass destruction: bad. unless they serve our purpose. then, well, they're okay.

Remember there is usually more to the story. NBC reports they had an inbedded solider that was with the 101st Airborn unit who went to this site 1-2 days after Bagdad fell on April 9th - he reports the explosives had already been looted. The Iraqi Ministry of Science reported the last time they could document that the explosives were secure at this site was June of 2003. A third source I can't spell (Mohamed Bandai?) who is an anti-American Iraqi reported this site was looted before we even entered the country. Why didn't we get this information in the story yesterday? Why did they give the illusion that these explosives disappeared only recently? Maybe it was a spin put on the story by those who initiated it...the NYTimes and CBS. The NYT has endorsed Kerry and CBS showed similar leanings with the recent Dan Rather story. Don't take any news at face value...especially with the election only a week away.
