1 week of jr. high camp + 1 bacteria-infested cabin - my vitamins + a 10 mile hike in the great smoky mountians in less than 4 hours - needed rest + hike with dad around chimney rock = sick ryan. thankfully it was short and i am fast on the mend, though i wish i could have hung out with my dad for longer.
the smoky mountains are awesome. and the national park is completely free! i hiked a trail called "alum caves bluff." it was 2.2 miles following a creek and leading to some bluffs and then 2.8 more up to the peak of mount le conte (6,593 ft.). i want to visit as many national parks as i can in my lifetime. on the list: joshua tree, yosemite, glacier... maybe one summer i'll just live out of my car and a tent and see as many as i can.

that would totally be my dream...going to every national park ever.
you know grand tetons means "big boobs" in french. those dirty french explorers. and hey, it's "grown-up vitamins", not flintstones.
Glad you are feeling better. Thanks for coming to see me. Wish we could have done some whitewater rafting and taken in a Tourist's game. Loved having a little time with you.
