the weekend

well, my parents were here for the weekend and we had a blast. i'm glad they got to come visit me in ohio. we went to newport where we ate at a seafood place called the fish market and i got the 21 grams soundtrack and a book called baghdad express. to be read after into the wild by jon krakauer. (it's excellent by the way.)

then we tried to watch some boat racing on the ohio from sawyer park but the river had too much debris (mostly tree trunks and stuff), so the coast guard called it off. but sawyer was really nice. when we got back to the house, we hung out with kenny, marissa, and josie for a while and then went to chuck e. cheese's with sofie, izaac, and zoe. i got 2 100s on one round of skeeball. the prizes are really terrible though. i never realized it when i was a little kid.

after that we went to see matt murray and kim nixon at bar humbug in covington. they did a great job and it was a lot of fun.

yesterday we went for breakfast at sugar 'n spice, watched some city league baseball, played wiffle ball, saw dodgeball, and went out for dinner at buca di beppo with the nixon clan.

a good time was had by all and the weather was perfect.

we got my dad a digital camera for father's day, so be sure to check out his forthcoming fotopage. i've linked it below.
