i have not been blogging much lately because i am trying to refresh my memory on american history and such for a TExES test i have to take on may 22 in order to be certifiable. it's the content test for 4-8 grade social studies - this covers world and u.s. history and culture, geography, government, and economics. lots to cover and i obviously can't hit it all, so please pray for me that i pass it. it's amazing how much one can forget what he learned years ago in school...

logan got me elbow's cast of thousands for my birthday and it has been in heavy rotation. sooo good!

saw the last samurai. enjoyed it but it reminded me a lot of dances with wolves as far as the plot was concerned - though tranplanted to japan instead of the american west. this is not a bad thing, as i like dances with wolves (bring on the kevin costner-hating). anyway, it was beautiful and now japan is added to the list of countries i want to visit.
