my (past) weekend:

friday
ate dinner with the household, watched grosse point blank (with john cusak), and read a conscious grating article about the poverty of india.

saturday
painted some studio space in the church building with cat (made some extra cash doing so). then we went to half price books and barnes and noble (gift card). walked away with a copy of walk in the light while there is light by leo tolstoy (ala tawd's recommendation), a journal, and a cafe mocha. went to our friend rachel's house for dinner. she made some rad mexican food (i miss you texas!) and we hung out with her and her boyfriend jesus (not the messiah, a guy from cancun). then i watched the movie kandahar. it's about this woman who is trying to get from iran into kandahar, afghanistan. very good. we have blinders on our worldview way too often.

sunday
slept until almost noon. right on. cleaned my room, did some laundry. finished an article for relevant - hopefully they'll use it. went with tawd to amol india, this really good indian restaurant. thanks for the coupon kenny! then we got hot drinks from sitwells. thanks tawd! talked to mom and dad. watched cowboy bebop (really popular anime series) with tawd and nora. went to bed.
