well, i sold some cds and got weezer: the blue album, miles davis: kind of blue, and $6 cash. not bad. i was really hoping to find some flaming lips though. nathan found the album leaf! used! what?! someone is crazy out there.

i finished the catcher in the rye today. sheer goodness. i want to buy a copy and read it again. i just can't even say how much i now love this book. if you haven't yet, read it. i just started a new one. my dallas public library card is my new best friend. now i'm reading henry's list of wrongs by john scott shepherd. very good so far. even sort of salinger-ish. i also checked out the bell jar when i returned my other books. so that's next on the to-read list. i am such a dork.

i can't decide on tomorrow night. men's discussion group, i-55 (this college bible study thing @ nate's church), or the theater fire at the gypsy tea room for $6. you can't beat that price for a good show. then again, if i can find some flaming lips online for cheap, i may buy that instead of a concert. anyways, i've got no one to go to the show with. that could be depressing.

all this reading has sort of inspired me and i'm going to try and get some more jude written. i should give myself deadlines so i actually accomplish things. i read j.d. salinger worked on and off for 10 years on the catcher in the rye though. so that's some consolation. think if you could write books for a living. that'd be great. travel in your spare time. write while you travel. i think it would be nice.
