the mavs lost last night. bummer. that puts the series at 2 and 2 headed back to dallas. my favorite maverick has become nick van excel. though he didn't do much last night, he has kept the mavs in this series. we lovingly refer to him as, "The Turtle," "The Goldfish," or "The Prophet."

also, last night before the game we played some hoop at high pointe church, 3 on 3 style. it was a blast, and i actually played well. setting picks, cutting to the basket with lay-ups, making shots. i surprised myself. nathan had the hot hand too, i think he hit like 3 perimeter shots. it was good times.

here's something from the psalms i read this morning...
"When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained; what is man that You take thought of him, and the son of man that You care for him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God, and You crown him with glory and majesty!" -psalm 8:4-5
