Writing about Jesus' temptation in the wilderness, William Barclay says...

"He [Jesus] had to get things straightened out before He started; and had to be alone. It may well be that we so often go wrong simply because we never try to be alone. There are certain things which a man [or woman] has got to work out alone..."

For all of you out there that are not involved in a relationship (I hate the term 'single') I just wanted to encourage you to embrace this time. We don't have to run around trying to find someone. Sometimes, God lets us be alone for a reason, sometimes for a long while too. He's out for your best. Embrace the time you have with just you and God. Ask Him for the grace to desire and seek Him. Embrace this moment. Allow God to mold you and shape you and even tranform you. Find your identity, and security, and purpose in Him.

Well, that's my thought for the day.
